Tips for clean, readable documents

Photograph documents in good daylight, flat on a table, from directly above, which avoids shadows and skewed pages. Crop out the table around the page before converting. Choose A4 with a small margin for documents you'll print, and "same as image" for screenshots. If an application portal limits the file size, convert first and then compress the finished PDF, which is usually easier than guessing the right photo size in advance.

Why are my phone photos the right way up?

Phones often store photos sideways and add a note saying which way to rotate them. Many converters ignore that note, producing sideways pages. This tool applies the rotation before creating the PDF, so pages appear exactly as the photos do in your gallery.

Which page size should I choose?

Choose A4 for most of the world, including Pakistan, India, the UK and Europe, or US Letter for the United States and Canada. "Same as image" makes each page exactly the size of its photo, with no white space, which is useful for screenshots or artwork.

The PDF is too large to upload. What can I do?

Run it through our PDF compressor to shrink the images inside, or compress your photos before converting. Scanned documents usually become much smaller without any visible difference.
