How to merge PDF files
- Add your PDFs. Drop two or more PDF files onto the box above, or tap it to choose them from your device. Each file shows its size and number of pages.
- Set the order. Drag the handle on the left of a file to move it, or use the up and down arrows. The file at the top will be the first pages of your new document.
- Remove anything you don't need with the X button next to a file.
- Press Merge. A progress bar shows each file being added. Most merges finish in a few seconds.
- Download your PDF. Save the combined document and share or print it like any other PDF.
Features
- Merge any number of PDFs into a single file, from two pages to hundreds.
- Drag-and-drop reordering that works with a mouse or a finger, plus arrow buttons for precise moves and keyboard use.
- Page counts for every file and a running total, so you know how long the merged document will be before you create it.
- Lossless merging. Pages are copied exactly, with no re-compression, rasterising or change to text.
- Clear error messages for damaged or password-protected files. Files with problems are skipped so you can still merge the rest.
- Works offline once loaded and runs on phones, tablets and computers.
Why use Fileora to merge PDFs
Combining PDFs is one of the most common office tasks: job applications that want a CV, cover letter and certificates in one file; expense reports with a stack of receipts; scanned pages from a phone that need to become a single document. Most online mergers ask you to upload all of those files to their servers first.
Fileora merges your PDFs directly in your browser. Your documents never leave your device, there is no upload wait even for large scans, and there is no daily limit or paid "pro" tier for merging more files. The result has no watermark and no added cover page. It's just your pages in the order you chose.
After merging, you might want to compress the PDF so it fits under an email attachment or upload limit. If your originals are photos rather than PDFs, compress the images first to keep the final document small.
Tips for a clean merged document
Give your files clear names before you add them, such as "1-cover-letter.pdf" and "2-cv.pdf". The names appear in the list and make ordering easier. If you are merging scans of different sizes, the pages keep their original dimensions, so an A4 page and a receipt will sit side by side at their real sizes. For documents you'll submit online, check the portal's size limit before merging: combining many scans can produce a large file.
