How to split a PDF
- Add your PDF. Drop a PDF file onto the box above, or tap it to choose one from your device. Page previews start loading straight away.
- Choose how to split it. Pick one of four options: Extract pages, Split by ranges, Every few pages, or Every page.
- Say which pages. For Extract pages, tap the thumbnails or type page numbers such as 1-3, 5, 8-. For ranges, type something like 1-3, 4-8, 9-. For equal parts, enter how many pages each file should have.
- Press Split PDF. A progress bar counts the files as they are created.
- Download the result. A single file downloads as one PDF. Several files are listed one by one, with a Download all button that saves them as a ZIP.

Choosing the right split option
Extract pages suits the most common job: you want some pages and not others, in a single file. The pages you type are kept in the order you write them, so typing 5, 1-3 puts page 5 first. Tapping thumbnails always keeps the original order.
Split by ranges is best when a PDF contains several separate documents back to back, such as a batch scan of letters. Write one range per document and each becomes its own file.
Every few pages works well for regular layouts, for example a stack of two-page forms scanned together. Enter 2 and you get one file per form. If the page count does not divide evenly, the last file simply has fewer pages.
Every page is useful when each page is a separate item, such as certificates, receipts or single-page payslips. For a large document this creates many files, so the ZIP download saves a lot of tapping.
