How to make a round profile picture
- Add your photo by dropping it on the box or clicking to choose it. JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, BMP and GIF work.
- Position it. Drag the photo in the Preview and adjust the Zoom slider until your face or logo sits nicely in the circle.
- Pick a background – None, Colour or Gradient – and set a Ring width and Ring colour if you want a border.
- Choose the size and format: 400, 800 or 1080 px, as a Round PNG or a Square JPG.

Tips for a great profile picture
- Fill the circle. Zoom in so your face takes up around half to two thirds of the circle – profile pictures are shown small, and small faces get lost.
- Keep it centred. Circles cut off the corners, so keep hair, ears and logos away from the edges.
- Use contrast. A plain, bright background colour behind a cut-out photo makes it stand out in comment threads and chat lists.
- Match your brand. For a business, use your brand colour as the background or the ring, and keep the same picture on every platform so people recognise you.
