How to use the text to handwriting converter
- Type or paste your text in the Your text box, or press Try an example to see how it works. Press Enter to start a new line, and leave an empty line between paragraphs.
- Pick a Handwriting style. Each button shows its name written in that hand: Caveat, Kalam, Indie Flower or Homemade Apple.
- Choose the Ink colour, Paper and Page size. Blue, black or red ink on ruled paper, ruled paper with a red margin, a grid or plain paper, in A4 or US Letter.
- Adjust Text size, Line spacing and Natural variation until the page looks right. Press New variation to reshuffle the small wobbles in the writing.
- Download the whole document with Download PDF, or save the current page with Download page as PNG. For longer text, use the arrows above the preview to check every page first.

Tips for a more natural look
Keep Natural variation between 30% and 60%; higher values look playful, lower values look like a very careful writer. Blue ink on ruled paper is the most familiar combination. Line spacing around 1.6× to 1.8× suits most fonts, and for Homemade Apple, which has long loops, a little more spacing keeps the lines from touching.
