How to compress an image to 20KB
- Add your photo or signature. Tap the box to pick it from your gallery or files, drag it in on a computer, or paste a screenshot with Ctrl+V.
- Check the target. It already says 20 KB. If your form allows a different maximum, such as 15KB or 30KB, type that number instead.
- Pick JPG in Save as if the form lists JPG or JPEG as the only accepted type.
- Press Compress image and wait a second or two while the best setting is found.

Getting a clear photo under 20KB
Start with the right crop. Most forms want a head-and-shoulders photo against a plain light background. If you need an exact passport layout with a face guide, make it with the passport photo maker first, then compress the result here. For any other framing, crop the image so only the part the form needs is left.
Mind the pixel dimensions. At 20KB, a photo of roughly 300 to 600 pixels on the long side keeps faces sharp. If the form specifies an exact size such as 200 × 230 pixels, set it with the image resizer before compressing, because shrinking the pixels first leaves more of the 20KB for detail.
For signatures, contrast does the work. Dark ink on white paper, photographed in daylight without shadows, compresses into a few kilobytes. You can also draw or type one with the signature maker and bring it here.
