km = mi × 1.609344
For 12 miles, 12 × 1.609344 = 19.31 km. For 250 miles, the result is 402.34 km. If you only need a rough figure, multiplying by 1.6 is off by less than 1%.

Speed limits. Limits there are in miles per hour. 30 mph is 48 km/h, 55 mph is 89 km/h and 70 mph is 113 km/h. Rental cars from other countries may show only km/h on the dial.
