How to rotate PDF pages
- Add your PDF. Drop it onto the box above, or tap to pick it from your phone or computer. A thumbnail appears for every page.
- Rotate the pages that need it. Under each thumbnail, press rotate left or rotate right. Each press turns the page 90 degrees, and the preview turns with it.
- Or rotate the whole document. If every page is sideways, press Rotate all left or Rotate all right.
- Check your work. Scroll through the grid to make sure every page is upright. Press Reset to start again if needed.
- Save and download. Press Save PDF and download the rotated copy. Your original file is left untouched.

Why use Fileora to rotate PDFs
Sideways pages are one of the most common PDF annoyances. A phone scanning app guesses the orientation wrongly. A landscape spreadsheet is printed to PDF in portrait. Rotating in a reader versus rotating the file
Desktop PDF readers, browser PDF viewers and most phone apps have a rotate button, but it usually changes only the current view. Close the file and the page is sideways again, and so it will be for everyone you send it to. To fix a PDF for good, the rotation has to be written into the file.
Every PDF page carries a rotation value that tells readers how to display it. This tool updates that value for the pages you turn and saves a new copy. Because the page content itself is not changed, the rotation can be reversed at any time by rotating the page back, with no loss of quality.
A quick check before saving: landscape pages such as wide tables and charts often should stay landscape. Rotate only the pages that read wrongly, rather than forcing every page into portrait.
Note that this tool turns whole pages in quarter turns. It does not straighten a scan that is slightly crooked, such as a page photographed at a small angle. For those, re-scan the page or straighten the photo before turning it into a PDF.
